On Saturday 26 November the Archipelschool for the third time won a place in the Benelux Finale of the First Lego League during the  Hague Technique Festival. It almost seems to become a habit, but it was by no means plain sailing. Our team of 10 students in group 8 worked very hard – even on Sundays! We are more than happy with our two trophy’s for the best robot presentation and for being the runner-up in the over-all score.
With a beautiful first place for robot design, robot presentation and project and with a seventh place on core values we could take the runner-up trophy home with us.

Within the theme “Animal Allies” we investigated the well-being of laboratory animals and the possibilities science offers to experiment with man-made human organs (organs on chips). Experimenting ar3without laboratory animals is not possible yet, but with bigger investments science can make more and faster progress. We would love a “body on chip”. Support science! See and like our img-20161126-wa0003 mannequin challenge .

The group 8 team is looking forward to the  Beneluxfinale on 4 February in Zwolle!
