On 25 October 2014 De Zalen, Riouwstraat 1, opens its doors to the public! It is a new cultural initiative in the Archipel. For more than 30 years it was the home of the training college for dance (eurhythmy), which moved to Hogeschool Leiden last spring. An enthousiastic team is working on a whole range of artistic activities: dance (eurhythmy), music, exhibitions, theater.
There is a great number of courses for young and old. Some of the current courses: a project of eurhythmy for children who are training for a performance and the eurhythmy-sessions “Vitaal in de Zalen”, the alternative to the fitness-studio.
The building offers four large halls with a grand piano and four smaller halls with a piano. All these halls can be hired for performances, rehearsals and courses. The sun room is a nice place to be and on order our biological catering service “De Meisjes van Spijs” will make your mouth water!
We hope we will be able to make a contribution to cultural life in The Hague in general and in the Archipel in particular. On our new website (we are still working on it) you will find more information: www.dezalen.nl
You are cordially invited to the opening on 25 October, from 11.00 am.
