Jaap Jan Brouwer will take up the position of chairman of the board of the Residents’ Organization Archipel & Willemspark with effect from 1 June. He succeeds Robert van Moorsel who, due to the expiry of the term of office, steps down as chairman after four years.
Jaap Jan (63 years old) is an organizational consultant, healthcare entrepreneur and author of a number of successful books. He has lived in the Archipel with his family for several years and has extensive experience working with volunteers and the (local) government.
Due to the Corona crisis, it is not possible to introduce Jaap Jan Brouwer to the Wijkberaad and say goodbye to Robert van Moorsel. The board will still do this at the next opportunity.
The board expresses its great thanks to Robert van Moorsel. He managed difficult issues, such as the reduction of car traffic through the neighborhood and the limited expansion of Madurodam. His passion, boundless dedication and social commitment were vital to preserve the character of our neighbourhood.
