Panorama Mesdag is reopening with postponed exhibition CANDID

The Panorama Mesdag museum will reopen on Tuesday 2 June with the exhibition CANDID – the contemporary seaside resort in the picture. Already nostalgic.

The exhibition was scheduled to open April 4, but could not be shown due to the sudden closure of the museum due to Covid-19. CANDID has now been renewed and will be available until February 28, 2021.

One-and-a-half meter museum
In line with government guidelines, the Panorama Mesdag museum has taken various measures to offer everyone the safest and most enjoyable visit possible. Minke Schat, director of the Panorama Mesdag museum: “We are so pleased to be able to open up the museum to visitors again. We really missed the audience! Now that we can welcome a maximum of 40 people an hour to the museum, we can amaze and enrich by offering peace and contemplation. Each visitor receives a guide with in-depth information about the permanent collection and about CANDID. The museum visit can be extended before or after by listening to the accompanying audio tours, which are offered on the website ”.

Safe open
The museum uses time blocks to ensure an optimal and safe distribution of visitors. The museum can receive a maximum of 10 visitors every 15 minutes for a museum visit of one and a half hours. There is extra attention for hygiene and there is a fixed route in one direction. There are also various employees who provide pleasant service and public support. Entry to the museum is only possible with an online ticket via the website of museum Panorama Mesdag.
