Please support the Green Schoolyard

Earlier we wrote about the plans of the Archipel School for a green school yard. The project team sent this follow-up:

“We want to remove as many tiles as we can and replace them by nature and challenges, that not just the kids but all the neighbours can enjoy. Only the soccer pitch remains as it is now. The plan is to create a natural environment that will invite children to play, that challenges them and also is a teaching facility. Besides the yard will be a place where all neighbours can meet and enjoy a bit of nature close to home.”

With these objectives a subsidies were applied for at Fonds 1881 and the Municipality, fortunately with success. And so beginning of 2015 the realization of the green schoolyard can start. That cannot be done without financial and other help. The project team will apply for further subsidies from other funds.

All help will be most welcome. The project team is looking for people who are willing to help with the lay out and/or maintenance of the schoolyard. And then we need money. Can you help? Please join via info@archipelschool.nl and state explicitly how you would like to help.
