Poetry Day is January 31st

Stichting ArchipelpoëZie is pleased to inform you that Thursday, January 31st, is the national Poetry Day. This day is the start of the Poetry Week in the Netherlands and Flanders.

Throughout the year you can of course enjoy our wall poems (we already have 16), but on Gedichtendag that is extra special. Take a nice walk (or bike ride) along the walls (look here for an overview) and then also pay a visit to La Brasserie in the Bankastraat. There you can pick up a bookmark for free with our very first wall poem from 2012. Note: op = op.

Would you like to see even more beautiful poetry of our wall poems? Then take a look at the Street poetry site (www.straatpoezie.nl). There are more than 2,100 (!) visible poems which have been collected in the public space.

Enjoy poetry and poetry on the streets!

Yours faithfully,
De Stichting ArchipelpoëZie –

Ruth van Rossum, Gilles Hooft Graafland, Derk Hazekamp, Jan Hein Schouw

P.S. Our wall poems are also beautiful in the evening light or in the light of the street lights.
